Metal Power Steering Reservoir Filter - Reservoir #22 on the PET Drawing
This filter replaces the original used in the early metal Power Steering Reservoir.
Pictures show old v new.
"The spring is held in place with a starlock push on washer which you need to pry out. Use long nose pliers to grip the washer without crushing it and gradually move it up the central rod while rotating it side to side. It should come off eventually. Lubing the rod helps but clean it off afterwards. You can reuse the washer but you may need to flatten it so that it grips the rod when you push it back in."
