Porsche 928 RDK Tire Pressure Sensor Blanking Plates - 2 pieces (1 Wheel) - 89 to 93

Two blanking plates, two seals and two nuts - enough for one wheel.
RDK - Tire Pressure monitoring system was fitted from 1992 to early 1994 (first ten cars). Two sensors are mounted per wheel. These sometimes fail and are very expensive to replace (circa $800). To re-powder coat your wheels, the sensors will have to be disassembled and removed. Instead of the original sensors, these blanking plates can then be used. The nuts and plates are provided with an anodizing layer so that they are protected against corrosion for many years in contrast to the original nuts. Even though the nut is still good for reuse, it is still wise to use our new nuts. To disassemble the sensors, the tire must first be removed from the rim, then the sensor can be disassembled with special Porsche tools. (see image) The dummy can be reassembled with this original tool. According to the Porsche manual, the tightening torque for the nut is 20 Nm.
